Dec 04, 2025

The Ecotourism Skills Startup, specifically for students and official tourism guides, was held on Wednesday, December 2, 1404, in collaboration with the Lorestan University Technology Growth Center and the Lorestan Province Elite Foundation; an event that was met with enthusiasm from those interested in the field of ecotourism and sustainable travel.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, at the beginning of this event, Dr. Navid Zamani, a faculty member of Lorestan University, explained the fundamental concepts of ecotourism, the principles of responsible ecotourism, and the role of sustainable tourism in regional development.

He also discussed the natural and cultural potentials of Lorestan province from an ecotourism perspective with the participants; a capacity that can transform Lorestan into one of Iran's ecological travel hubs.

Subsequently, participants, in the form of 8 groups of five, and with the accompaniment of educational mentors, entered the practical stage and collaboratively began designing ecotourism travel programs.

Each group tried to offer a different and practical travel program by relying on the province's attractions, the principles of sustainability, innovation, and experience-based learning.

In the final part of the event, the travel plans developed by the groups were presented and shared in an interactive and synergistic environment.

Finally, two plans were selected and honored as the winning programs.

Holding such events indicates that the ideas and creativity of young people and students can create "new paths" for sustainable progress.
