Lorestan University Growth Center Organized: Workshop on the Application of Nanotechnology in Environment and Energy

Lorestan University's Growth and Technology Center held a workshop on the application of nanotechnology in the field of environment and energy, taught by Dr. Hakimeh Teimouri Nia, a faculty member of the Faculty of Chemistry at Lorestan University.

The workshop "Application of Nanotechnology in the Field of Environment and Energy" was held with the aim of familiarizing participants with the role and capacities of nanotechnology in solving environmental challenges and improving energy efficiency.

This workshop provided a suitable opportunity for students, researchers, and enthusiasts to become familiar with the latest achievements and practical applications of nanotechnology in these fields.

This training workshop was well-received by the participants and was able to provide a clear perspective on the importance and position of nanotechnology in solving environmental and energy issues. Topics Discussed in the Workshop

At the beginning of the workshop, the basic concepts of nanotechnology and its importance in modern sciences were discussed. Then, the most important applications of nanotechnology in the field of environment and energy were examined, including the following:

• The use of nanomaterials in water and wastewater treatment and the removal of organic pollutants and heavy metals
• The application of nanocatalysts in reducing air pollutants and improving green chemical processes
• The role of nanotechnology in the development of clean energy sources, including solar cells, batteries, and supercapacitors
• Increasing efficiency and reducing energy consumption by utilizing advanced coatings and nanostructures

Workshop Process and Interaction with Participants

During the workshop, Dr. Teimouri Nia presented the materials in a clear and understandable manner by providing practical examples and the results of conducted research. Also, in the final part of the workshop, a question and answer session was held, during which the participants raised their questions in the fields of research, industry, and the future of careers related to nanotechnology and received scientific answers.
