A memorandum of understanding was concluded and exchanged between the University of Lorestan and the Chamber of Commerce of the Province.

In line with expanding the relationship between the university and organizations, institutions, companies, and departments of Lorestan province, a meeting of cooperation between Lorestan University and the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture of Lorestan province was held, and a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed and exchanged.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, in this meeting, which was held on Wednesday, January 30th of the current year, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture of Lorestan province, the President of Lorestan University, Dr. Ali Nazari, and Dr. Mohammad Khaki, President of the Lorestan Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the expansion of applied, problem-oriented collaborations.
The President of Lorestan University stated in this meeting that efforts should be made to fully implement all the provisions of the agreement.
The President of Lorestan University (Dr. Nazari) explained in his remarks that various agreements have been signed between Lorestan University and various organizations in the province in both governmental and private sectors, which are in line with the social responsibility of the university.
Another part of Dr. Nazari's speech was devoted to explaining the transnational approaches of Lorestan University, emphasizing the events of Iran and Iraq's Science Week and the admission of international students.
One of the topics of this meeting was the tax incentives included in the Law on the Leap in the Production of Knowledge-Based Products; especially Article 13 of this law, which is in line with the tax exemption of units and companies that keep their research and development departments active based on the participation of the university and conduct applied research with a focus on future studies and technology.
Dr. Ali Nazari, President, Dr. Mostafa Karampour, Vice President for Research and Technology, Dr. Meysam Doostizadeh, Director of the Department of Community Relations and Entrepreneurship, and Dr. Mohammad Jafari, Head of the Growth and Technology Center of Lorestan University, requested that the Chamber of Commerce, based on its representation of the private sectors of commerce, industry, mining, and agriculture of Lorestan province, be able to be effective in expanding the university's cooperation with the research and development units of the private sector in the province.
In another part of the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Khaki, President of the Lorestan Chamber of Commerce, considered the university's position in the field of improving community-oriented applied skills and providing solutions to address the challenges and systemic issues of society as an important and influential position.
He called for increased participation of researchers and university researchers in scientific and research assistance to solve the problems of the production sector of the province; because strengthening production, entrepreneurship, and the knowledge-based economy is an important mission in line with the comprehensive progress of the country.
