Amin Taheri Garavand, the president of Lorestan Science and Technology Park, said: Pursuant to Article 12 of the Knowledge-Based Leap Law, this park has been mandated to strengthen and develop the province to monitor and enumerate the province's needs. Based on the conducted investigations, the needs of the province's environment sector were enumerated and registered in the NAN system.

He elaborated: Among the enumerated needs, we can mention items such as the use of nanotechnology in wastewater treatment, the use of nanotechnology in the treatment of contaminated soils, new methods based on biological systems for cleaning up soils contaminated with petroleum materials, the use of new electronic and drone technology for monitoring, managing, and surveying protected areas under the management of the Environmental Protection Organization, new and technological methods for separating and reusing gray water, the use of new technology to combat dust hotspots, and also the use of new technology for the production of biodegradable plastic.

Taheri, pointing to the importance of bringing together scientific capacities and potentials with technological needs and the province's macro issues, continued: In this event, we are seeking to directly select innovative ideas and projects in order to solve a challenge or meet a real need, and a real requester will announce the need to use that innovation.

The president of Lorestan Science and Technology Park announced the granting of facilities to the winners of this event for the implementation of ideas and added: Continuous strengthening and empowerment of elites, scientists, and technologists will lead to an increase in their share and participation in innovation development and production boom in the province.
